The women’s march had a historic turnout and it was a success to say the least. Millions of people gathered across the nation to protest against the bigotry that Trump represents. With the protest being such a success and people being fired up and filled with momentum, another march is getting set to take place on April 15th aiming to force Donald Trump to release his tax returns.
Kellyanne Conway said “he’s not going to release his tax returns,” in an interview on the ABC program “This Week.”
No president has ever been obligated to release their tax returns, but it has been a tradition to do so. Trump has denied time after time that he will not release his tax returns, which raises the concern that he’s hiding something that could potentially influence his foreign policy.
Law professor Jennifer Taub was the first one to come up with the idea, and it’s a great one at that:
The date April 15th was picked specifically because that’s the day taxes are usually due. It’s unsure if any formal preparations have begun, but what is for sure is that the idea is a solid one and many people are sure to turn out if it does happen.
It is time to show that people want to see Trump’s tax returns. If he has nothing to hide then he should have no problem showing them to us.
