Watch: Trump Jr Compares Democrats To ‘Nazi Party’ While Promoting The Far-Right Film ‘Death Of A Nation’
On Wednesday night, Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., compared the modern-day platform for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to the 1930s Nazi party platform.
Speaking to the conservative new channel One America News Network, Trump Jr. said:
“I’ve been hearing the left talking about these things — fascism, Nazism on the right — and when you look at the actual history and how these things evolved, and you actually look at that platform versus the platform of the modern left, you say ‘Wait a minute, those two are very heavily aligned.’”
“You see the Nazi platform from the early 1930s … and you look at it compared to the DNC platform of today, you’re saying, ‘Man, those things are awfully similar’ to a point where it’s actually scary,” he continued.
Trump Jr. was in Washington D.C. attending a screening of “Death of a Nation: Plantation Politics and the Making of the Democratic Party,” which is a film made by Dinesh D’Souza, the conservative commentator who was pardoned by Trump back in May after being convicted of making illegal campaign contributions.
The film was heavily criticized by multiple news outlets who claimed it “stretched” the truth.
Variety said the documentary “stretches the truth in a way that makes your head hurt (and your stomach turn)” and is filled with “half-baked baloney.”
The Hollywood Reporter said it was full of “historical inaccuracies and distortions.”
Trump Jr., on the other hand, praised the film for attacking the “political left.”
“When you look at the movie, you’ll see that there is a very distinct and clear difference between what actually happened and what is being sold to our youth today,” Trump Jr. said.
“When people talk about these things, you can’t just spew that because someone told you that in history class when academia and everything has been so influenced — so wrongly influenced — by the left,” he added.
“You have a bunch of kids in dreadlocks running around screaming about fascism and all these things, you’re like ‘Wait a second, have you actually taken a history class?’ ” he concluded.
