Donald Trump has come up with a new plan to try to lure Senate Republicans into supporting his healthcare bill. His plan is to use data from conservative groups to dispute the CBO finding that 22 million people will lose their coverage under Trumpcare.
The CBO report found that 22 million americans will be losing healthcare coverage by 2026 if the Republican healthcare bill passes into law.
It is common knowledge that the Senate bill takes roughly a trillion dollars out of health care and gives to the wealthy in the form of tax cuts.
According to The Washington Post, “When Trump returns from Europe, he plans to counter the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office’s analysis of the legislation — which shows that 22 million fewer people would have insurance coverage by 2026 than under the current law — with figures and analyses from conservative groups and Republicans that show more benefits and less disruption, should the bill pass, according to a White House official familiar with the strategy.”
Trump plans to show fake numbers in order to get voting for his healthcare plan. Anyone with common knowledge will not fall for that.
Republicans are inching closer and closer to losing seats in the Senate and in the House. If they don’t get their act together soon, they will lose control of the government come 2018.
