For someone who claims everything that talks bad about him is “fake news” Trump sure doesn’t share a lot of falsehoods. In his latest tweet, Trump cited a Fox News story that claims that former acting Attorney General Sally Yates is somehow to blame for his made-up “Spygate” scandal.
After Yates appeared on CNN to discredit Trump’s conspiracy theory the president took to Twitter to attack the former acting Attorney General.
“Sally Yates is part of concerns people have raised about bias in the Justice Dept,” Trump tweeted, quoting George Washington University Law professor Jonathan Turley. “I find her actions to be really quite unbelievable.”

Trump first started spreading the conspiracy after it was revealed that a professor named Stephen Halper acted as an informant for the FBI to assess whether there were any credible links between the Trump campaign and Russia.
And of course, if Trump says it Fox News believes it. And that’s what happened. Fox News started spreading Trump’s conspiracy, calling it a “scandal the likes of which this country may never have seen before.”
