Donald Trump just made it even more clear last night, after an interview with Axios, that he is not suited to be president. He is unprepared for all the responsibilities he will be facing once he moves into the White House. In his interview he spoke about intel briefings.
“I’ve had a lot of briefings that are very … I don’t want to say ‘scary,’ because I’ll solve the problems,” he said. “But … we have some big enemies out there in this country and we have some very big enemies — very big and, in some cases, strong enemies.”
He went on to say, “You also realize that you’ve got to get it right because a mistake would be very, very costly in so many different ways.”
Oh yeah Trump? Did you just realize that? Apparently, Trump hasn’t been paying attention to the numerous costs borne by Americans throughout his lifetime as a direct result of presidential policy.
What are his plans to fix these problems? Well first of all, he plans on making his intel briefings very brief. Trump said during the interview, “I like bullets or I like as little as possible. I don’t need, you know, 200-page reports on something that can be handled on a page. That I can tell you.”
Seems like he doesn’t have time and patience to actually sit down and talk thoroughly about the actual problems our country faces.
Trump is like the guy that buys a fancy cabinet and tries to build it without reading the instructions and it ends up being a disaster.
We as Americans, should be terrified that he would approach these problems with such subtlety. He is unwilling to educate himself and will act without knowing the consequences. If Trump truly acknowledged how disastrous his mistakes as president could be, he would take his briefings seriously.
God help us all.
