Trump Just Fired Off His Craziest Tweet Ever To Justify His ‘Tim Apple’ Gaffe
During an American Workforce Policy Advisory Board meeting at the White House, President Trump incorrectly stated the Apple CEO’s name. Today, after denying his mistake, Trump tried to justify his gaffe, and it didn’t go well.
In a tweet, Trump claimed he didn’t make a mistake when he referred to Apple CEO Tim Cook as “Tim Apple,” but did so as a time-saving measure – even though video clearly shows he simply mangled the name.
“I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words,” the president tweeted early Monday. “The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!”
Cook responded in a joking manner, changing his Twitter names to “Tim Apple,” compete with an emoji of the fruit.
Trump claimed first that he did say “Tim Cook Apple” really fast, but the “Cook” part was said softly – the video indicates otherwise.

The news coverage annoyed Trump and his tweeted explanation Monday drew ridicule from his critics on social media.
“NARCISSISTIC MADMAN has logged on,” tweeted Jesse Ferguson, a Democratic strategist.
Here are some of the other responses:
At a recent round table meeting of business executives, & long after formally introducing Tim Cook of Apple, I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words. The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!

The fact that you are making such a big deal out of this shows how fragile your ego really is ‘Mr. President’

It became a story because you're possibly the dumbest person in history.

It’s a dumb mistake that wasn’t even that big of a deal compared to many other things Trump has done where he completely lies about things like saying doctors commit infanticide by “executing babies after birth.” That’s a malicious lie to destroy women’s basic human rights.

Sure, Donald Russia, whatever you say.

The best way to save time is to cut words out of the sentences so that no one understands what you meant to say and you have to explain it later

Your lies aren’t even good, man

You could have saved an extra syllable by just calling him "Tipple," and used that extra second to reunite a family separated at the border.

I thought his earlier story said he called him Tim Cook Apple?

Astounding that this man is such an astounding narcissist that he can't admit that he made a simple mistake– instead he again is dishonestly accusing the news media of getting it wrong, when the media got it right. SAD!

I totally get it: most people quickly refer to you as "dipshit" to save time and words.
