Trump Just Got Chewed Up By Internet Users After Claiming His Twitter Rants Are ‘Modern Day Presidential’

Donald Trump comes up with the most ridiculous excuses as to why he does the things he does, and his latest excuse as to why he uses Twitter as often as he does is probably the craziest one yet.

After spending half the weekend attack “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Twitter, Trump decided to give an explanation as to why he tweets so much.

“My use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL. Make America Great Again!” he said.

Maybe that tweet should’ve just read: “My use of social media is not presidential.”

But, Trump did receive some feedback after posting such a ridiculous excuse. Even people of his own party are urging the president to stop making such a mockery of himself.

This is what some of the Republicans in government had to say:

“It is damaging his presidency,” Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC) said in a CNN interview.

“Please just stop. This isn’t normal and it’s beneath the dignity of your office,” tweeted Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) after the Brzezinski attacks.

“Stop it! The Presidential platform should be used for more than bringing people down,” tweeted Sen. Lisa Murowski (R-AK).

But, those weren’t the only ones urging Trump to stop tweeting, other Twitter users decided to bash on the president too.
