Trump Just Got Fact-Checked After Attempting To Take Credit For Something Obama Did
CNN Money’s report on Tuesday put Donald Trump in check. After the White House attempted to take credit for creating more than 500,000 jobs in the first hundred days in office, CNN Money reported that hundreds of thousands of those jobs were created under former President Barack Obama.
The White House webpage on Tuesday posted highlights of the administration’s accomplishments thus far, stating that they had created “over 500,000 new jobs — with a surge in female employment last month.”
But, CNN Money analysts found that out of those 500,000 jobs, only 317,000 were created by the new administration.
A lot of the jobs had been created during the month of January, when Trump had only been in the White House for about 11 days.
