Trump Just Promised A Pardon To Border Patrol Agents Who Illegally Keep Asylum Seekers Away
It’s no secret that Donald Trump is anti-immigration, especially by people seeking asylum at the southern U.S. border.
If that wasn’t clear, a video had surfaced last week of Trump telling border patrol agents to tell asylum-seeking migrants that the country is “full,” which is illegal.
But Trump doesn’t seem to care. According to a new report by CNN, Trump has promised border patrol agents that he would pardon them for performing illegal acts in order to keep migrants out of the country.
According to CNN, “the President also told the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, Kevin McAleenan, that if he were sent to jail as a result of blocking those migrants from entering the US, the President would grant him a pardon, senior administration officials tell CNN.”
This is what in the old days we used to call “abuse of power.” https://t.co/te6rArdoof

The President offered a pardon to a federal employee if the employee would violate the law to further the President’s political goals. Really (GOPs in) Congress, what more do you need to see? https://t.co/i9fFCI7tbS
