Trump Just Withdrew Sanctions On North Korea Via Twitter And The White House Is Panicking

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Friday where he announced that he withdrew sanctions put on North Korea and the White House is now scrambling to explain the president’s decision.

Trump tweeted on Friday:

“It was announced today by the U.S. Treasury that additional large scale Sanctions would be added to those already existing Sanctions on North Korea. I have today ordered the withdrawal of those additional Sanctions!”

As CNN White House correspondent Abby Phillip noted, “Treasury announced sanctions on two Chinese companies for helping North Korea evade sanctions YESTERDAY.”

When asked about Trump’s decision, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders struggled to come up with an answer and ended saying that, “President Trump likes Chairman Kim and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary.”
