Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who has defended Donald Trump heavily throughout his impeachment process, shocked many people when he announced on Thursday that he will vote against the president having the power to go to war without Congress.
“Killing Soleimani was the right decision,” he said, according to Bloomberg reporter Daniel Flatley.

Gaetz confirmed his decision on his own Twitter page:
I represent more troops than any other member of this body. I buried one of them earlier today at Arlington.
If our servicemembers have the courage to fight and die in these wars, Congress ought to have the courage to vote for or against them.
