Alex Jones, founder and host of Infowars, was taken to court by his own wife to fight for custody of their three children. His lawyers argued that Jones is just “playing a character.”
According to an Austin American-Statesman report, Jone’s attorney, Randall Wilhite, argued that “he is a performance artist.”
Jones, who has been a long-time supporter of Donald Trump, owns and operates both Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com. He is a conspiracy theorist that is known for claiming that the U.S. government was behind the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Jones also claimed that the moon landings were faked and that the government faked the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting using actors.
And if all that wasn’t enough, he spread a rumor about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and campaign chairman John Podesta. He stated that they were operating a child sex trafficking ring run out of a Washington, D.C., pizzeria.
Jones is now fighting a custody battle with his wife over their three children, their 14-year-old son and two daughters, aged 12 and 9.
“He’s not a stable person. He says he wants to break Alec Baldwin’s neck. He wants [Jennifer Lopez] to get raped,” Kelly Jones said in court, according to the American-Statesman.
“He broadcasts from home. The children are there, watching him broadcast.”
Jones might just lose his “day job” if he wants to stick around his kids’ lives.
