Trump Pushes Idea To Arm Teachers In Saturday Tweet, Gets Instantly Torched: ‘The Stupidest Idea In History’
Donald Trump once again pushed his idea to arm teachers to prevent mass school shootings from happening again. His idea to stop gun violence by adding more guns in the mix has been highly criticized.
On Saturday, after Trump pushed his idea again, Twitter users responded by bashing the president.
Trump tweeted saying:
“Armed Educators (and trusted people who work within a school) love our students and will protect them. Very smart people. Must be firearms adept & have annual training. Should get yearly bonus. Shootings will not happen again – a big & very inexpensive deterrent. Up to States.”

Here’s how people responded:
Does the NRA let you visit its headquarters to see the jar in which they keep your soul?

One question, @realDonaldTrump
"Armed Educators" Who will profit?
"Must be firearms adept" Who will profit?
"& have annual training" Who will profit?
"Should get yearly bonus" Who will profit?
"a big & very inexpensive deterrent" Who will profit?
"Up to States" Who will profit?

again, you're insane.

If your answer to gun violence is more guns then you're probably working for the people who make them.
You took more money from the NRA than any other politician in US history.https://t.co/VdU1z1R5DO

Can I just have supplies for my classroom instead? And more support for kiddos with needs? That would probably be a better use of that money…

Police officers have training & are “firearms adept,” yet innocent people still die. What the hell makes you think a teacher will somehow handle the stress of an active shooter situation better than a cop?
They are educators, not law enforcement.
Please: JUST STOP.#NeverAgain

This is the stupidest idea in American History. Bar none!

You seem to be having trouble with basic sentence construction. It's never too late to learn how to speak basic English. Good luck! https://t.co/DXISg0GJqn

How about we make each student sit on a bomb so nobody will shoot at them because they'll set off the bomb?

How is it a deterrent? Most school shooters don't plan on coming out alive, anyway. This will only paint a target on all teachers' back & encourage any school shooters to kill them all in case they are armed.

Maybe the most foolish of the many foolish things you’ve said.

Keep tweeting, #DotardDonnie. Your deplorables need daily reminders you lack the depth, intelligence, and empathy to lead a conga line (let alone a nation).

I can honestly say, you are out there, Donnie. Somewhere past Pluto is my best guess but you sure ain't in this Universe. Are you sure you don't drink? In the closet on the sly maybe?
