Trump Raises Suspicion After Blocking Dem Memo: ‘An Innocent Person Would Not Do That’

Donald Trump denied Democrats the chance of releasing their memo on Friday which has caused criticism that he’s trying to hide something.

Democratic Congressman Ted Lieu is one of Trump’s biggest critics and he decided to blast the president after his decision to block the memo.

Lieu took to Twitter on Friday night and accused Trump of hiding something, saying that “an innocent person would not block the memo.”

“THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. Both GOP & Dems voted to release Dem memo. I read it and am convinced @realDonaldTrump is now intentionally hiding relevant information from the American people in order to mislead the public. An innocent person would not block the memo,” the congressman tweeted.

According to the White House, Trump was “inclined to declassify” the memo but didn’t do so because of national security concerns.

Lieu is not the only Democratic leader to claim Trump has something to hide. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.) both claimed the same thing.

Democratic leaders Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.) both claimed that Trump has “something to hide” by choosing not to release the memo.

According to Trump, the GOP memo released last week “totally vindicates” him in the Russia investigation.
