Trump Reportedly Told McCabe To Ask His Wife ‘How It Feels To Be A Loser’
A new report reveals that Donald Trump called Andrew McCabe after he saw footage of James Comey using a government-funded airplane the day after he fired the former FBI director. According to the report, Trump called McCabe to complain about the trip and at the same time to tell him to asked his wife “how it feels to be a loser.”
NBC News reported on Monday that Trump was “furious” after watching footage of Comey using an FBI plane a day after he was fired by the president. Trump called McCabe demanding to know why the former FBI director was allowed to take a government plane.
According to the report, McCabe told the president that he would have approved of Comey’s flight but said he was not asked beforehand.
“The president was silent for a moment and then turned on McCabe, suggesting he ask his wife how it feels to be a loser,” NBC News reports.
The call came after Jill McCabe had recently lost her bid for a state Senate seat.
A new report on Monday revealed that McCabe “was forced to step down” as FBI deputy director.
