Trump Sends Tantrum-Filled Letter To Congress Over Border Wall: ‘Rich People Build Them’
Donald Trump didn’t take to Twitter to whine about his border wall on Friday, but he did send a letter to Congress urging them to fund the wall because “rich people build them” around their homes.
Trump sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday claiming that the United States needs “a hard, physical barrier” at its southern border with Mexico.
“Walls work,” Trump said in the letter. “That’s why rich, powerful and successful people build them around their homes. All Americans deserve the same protection.”
In the letter, Trump also asks Democrats to “rise above partisan discord, to set aside political convenience, and to put the national interest first.” This is coming from the most divisive man in Washington.
