Trump Sends ‘Thoughts And Prayers’ After Synagogue Shooting And Gets Obliterated On Twitter: ‘You Did This!’
On Saturday, a shooting took place at a synagogue in Poway, California that left one person dead while three others were injured. And yet, Republicans continue to ignore passing gun safety laws and all they ever do is share their “thoughts and prayers.”
Well, that’s exactly what Donald Trump did after the fatal shooting. He took to Twitter to share his “thoughts and prayers” and got completely chewed out by Twitter users.
“Thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by the shooting at the Synagogue in Poway, California. God bless you all,” Trump tweeted.
“Suspect apprehended. Law enforcement did outstanding job,” he added. “Thank you!”
People were furious with the president:
Enough of the F***ing “thoughts and prayers. They are worthless.
We need to end this Now!

You said there were very fine people on both sides in Charlottesville.
You advanced antisemitic conspiracy theories that led to the murder of 11 Jews in Pittsburgh.
Spare us your thoughts and prayers. You and all who embrace & enable white nationalism are responsible for this. https://t.co/E1T3pJIFea

You phony piece of trash. The blood spilled today is on YOUR hands, every drop of it. This was another of your "very fine people!" May you reap the suffering you have sown upon others tenfold. https://t.co/QTK8SLH3i0

Yesterday, @realDonaldTrump spoke at NRAAM and doubled down on his saying there were "very fine people" on both sides in Charlottesville, where white supremacists were chanting Nazi slogans. Forgive me if I'm not persuaded that Trump gives a damn about a shooting at a synagogue. https://t.co/Gjt0bRIQ6Z

What's this thoughts and prayers bullshit from you again? What about #GunControlNow. The gunman acted a day after you praised the Nazis who marched in Charlottesville again. You are inciting violence, stop! #Poway #Powayshooting #SynagogueShooting https://t.co/vFGfjddyI8

We don't want your thoughts & prayers. We want you to stop inciting hate, seeding the environment with divisions vs groups of people. You like executive orders. How about one banning assault rifles? Until then, save your "thoughts & prayers". Shabbat shalom

Many millions are “affected” by yet another hate crime under your racist dog-whistling watch, @realDonaldTrump . Your glib “thoughts and prayers” statement falls far short, once again.

Fuck your thought and prayers. Your poisonous voice is at the epicenter of these actions of hatred. NMAGA

Anti-semitism is one piece of the wave of hatred and violence Trump has unleashed with his campaign of racism and fear. People of good will reject Trump and all he stands for.

MORE thoughts and prayers? There have been so many, and none have done any good.
How about doing something (for a change) to prevent these atrocities? Oh no. That would upset your friends at the corrupt and failing NRA. pic.twitter.com/jAZQSzj5Sv
