Donald Trump is now arguing that he should be allowed to serve two more years as president despite the 2020 election results in “reparations” for the Mueller investigation.
Trump retweeted one of his supporters, Jerry Falwell Jr., on Sunday who claimed that the president should have two years added to his first term due to the Mueller investigation.
Falwell, who is the president of evangelical Christian university Liberty University, tweeted during the weekend:
“After the best week ever for @realDonaldTrump – no obstruction, no collusion, NYT admits @BarackObama did spy on his campaign, & the economy is soaring. I now support reparations-Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as payback for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup.”
Although Falwell’s tweet is full of falsehoods, Trump still decided to retweet it, suggesting he is open to the idea.
