WATCH: Trump Slams Puerto Rico, Says Hurricane Maria Wasn’t Catastrophic

Donald Trump arrived at Puerto Rico on Tuesday just so he could insult them. The U.S. President tried to downplay the devastation that happened in Puerto Rico by saying that it wasn’t a real catastrophe like Hurricane Katrina.

Trump said on Tuesday:

“Every death is a horror, but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina, and you look at the tremendous — hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that died, and you look at what happened here, with really a storm that was just totally overpowering, nobody’s ever seen anything like this. What is your death count as of this moment? 17? 16 people certified, 16 people versus in the thousands.”

Trump not only tried downplaying the catastrophe that took place in Puerto Rico, but he also decided to attack the U.S. territory by telling them they threw his budget out of whack. And it did not stop there. Trump went on to gloat about the “great job” he’s doing with Puerto Rico.

The only reason he made a trip to the island was all a publicity stunt. Trump doesn’t seem to care about the lives of these U.S. citizens.
