Trump Threw A Tantrum As He Signed Russia Sanctions Bill
Donald Trump did not seem to happy while he was signing bill to impose new sanctions on Russia. The president threw a fit and lashed out at Congress, saying that the new legislation will limit his executive power and ability to negotiate with the Russians.
“By limiting the executive’s flexibility, this bill makes it harder for the United States to strike good deals for the American people, and will drive China, Russia, and North Korea much closer together,” Trump said in a sharply-worded statement.
Trump is essentially complaining that the U.S. put sanctions on Russia. He called the bill “seriously flawed” and said it contains “a number of clearly unconstitutional provisions,” which limits his ability to do things “his way” as he’ll need congressional approval to dictate sanctions.
“The framers of our Constitution put foreign affairs in the hands of the president,” he added. “This bill will prove the wisdom of that choice.”
Trump is just throwing a fit because he lost power and is not a fond of that. This marks a big win for the House and Senate and a defeat for the White House.
