Donald Trump just scheduled a speech to address religious conservatives around the same time former FBI Director James Comey will be testifying before Congress.
Trump agreed to give a speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” conference that will be taking place this Thursday. Lance Lemmonds, spokesman for Faith and Freedom, said that Trump will be addressing the crowd at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Comey’s testimony will begin at 10 a.m. on the same day. This will make Comey’s first public address since Trump fired him last month.
While Comey is testifying about Russia’s interference in the election and Trump’s ties to Russia, Trump will be addressing a crowd full of Conservative Evangelicals.
Joining the president will be Vice President Mike Pence, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
