Trump Tries To Drag Obama Into His Criminal Mess, Gets Brutal Response
Donald Trump lies constantly, of course, so that part is nothing new. And while most of his lies are the kind that can be quickly disproven by fact checkers, Trump is simply banking on his supporters being too intellectually lazy to fact check his lies. But his latest lie is pretty big even by Trump’s standards.
Trump on Saturday attempted to drag former President Barack Obama into his campaign finance problems — reportedly paying off alleged mistresses to keep quiet about affairs — saying his predecessor was accused of similar crimes.
“Many people currently a part of my opposition, including President Obama & the Dems, have had campaign violations, in some cases for very large sums of money,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “These are civil cases. They paid a fine & settled. While no big deal, I did not commit a campaign violation!”
Of, course, that’s a big, fat lie, and Twitter users didn’t waste time to set Trump straight:
Many people currently a part of my opposition, including President Obama & the Dems, have had campaign violations, in some cases for very large sums of money. These are civil cases. They paid a fine & settled. While no big deal, I did not commit a campaign violation!

Here are some of the responses:
They didn’t intentionally try to hide where campaign money hush payments were coming from on disclosures to illegally influence the election. You did. You committed multiple felonies.

It's too early to enter a "Not Guilty" plea. You have to wait for the indictment. (Coming soon.)

Only Trump and his cronies ILLEGALLY paid a tech firm for “campaign-related work” (#felony) after laundering money thru an LLC, then fraudulently accounting for this as a @Trump BUSINESS expense (another #felony).
You sound worried. And you *should* be.😎https://t.co/If5GncZ4FF

An accounting error is not hiding porn stars with campaign money to benefit the campaign or excepting gifts from others to do the same.

Hmmm…where to start?
The campaign violations by you being investigated are more serious.
Violations are either civil or criminal depending on what they are. No relation between old cases and potential new charges.
If you did nothing arong, why even bother with your rants?

The difference is you, ”Individual 1”, and your personal lawyer, intentionally violated federal law to cover up hush payments about a salacious affair in order to influence an election.
