Trump Pats Himself In The Back After Turning Violent Against His Aides
Donald Trump lashed out at his White House aides this week after growing frustrated with having to share the spotlight with former President George H.W. Bush after his passing, but claimed that he was proud of his public behavior, according to reports.
The New York Times reported on Thursday that Trump administration officials came forward and revealed that the president was “snappish with aides most of the week,” at least partly because he resented so many ceremonial events focused on the former president and not himself.
According to The Times, Trump was “impatient for the memorials to end but expressed pride in himself for remaining publicly civil.”
Trump might have been at the memorial service, but he sat through the entirety of it with his arms folded and did not even recite the Apostles’ Creed along with the former presidents and others in attendance or sing hymns.
