Trump Just Became The Biggest Laughing Stock On The Internet
Donald Trump seems to be an easy target when it comes to internet trolls. And on Sunday it was no different after The New York Times reported that Trump didn’t seem to comprehend the resignation letter sent by Defense Secretary James Mattis this week.
Reportedly, Trump read Mattis’ letter before praising him on Twitter. After the letter was made public, it was obvious that the secretary was taking a jab at Trump.
It’s lead many pundits and activists online to wonder if the president was smart enough to understand what Mattis was saying in his two-page letter.
Twitter users didn’t let the opportunity slip by and decided to troll the president. Here are some of the best tweets:
The more you read Mattis’s resignation letter, the clearer it becomes that Trump had not read it before he sent his tweet.

Trump is clearly kicking Mattis out early because he’s just now realizing that Mattis’s resignation letter was a rebuke of his Presidency.
It took him 3 days to figure that out.

Mattis cleverly concealed his critiques of Trump for several days by encrypting them in complete sentences. https://t.co/ZylaPdASLw

Trump, who at first did not seem to realize the rebuke in Mattis’ resignation letter, is now pushing the defense secretary out two months before his departure date https://t.co/outDczfefy

Gen Mattis is way too professional, diplomatic and a gentleman to insert a photo with him flipping the bird at him. This Pres. is the SHAME of 330 million ppl. My Lord…Republican Senators are all Tiny Tims.

Trump speeds up Mattis’s departure significantly. Aides say he had not realized how critical the defense secretary’s resignation letter was until coverage started playing out on television. https://t.co/PdTaUUaFnj

It speaks volumes that Trump had read Mattis’ resignation letter before praising him last week. He couldn’t even understand the rebuke. When cable news explained it to him, he fired Mattis. pic.twitter.com/knaSnojWRb

Someone probably finally read him his resignation letter. I wonder if all of Fox did what Hannity did and only quoted the positive short bit and pretended the rest of the letter didnt exist.
