Remember that absolutely absurd letter Donald Trump‘s doctor wrote about what perfect condition he’s in? Well, that doctor gave an interview to NBC News and things got weird.
During the interview, Dr. Harold Bornstein, who has been the GOP nominee’s doctor for 35 years, told NBC News on Friday that he stands by his glowing assessment of the 70-year-old’s physical state. But the way he explained how he wrote the infamous letter has many people scratching their heads.

Dr. Bornstein revealed that not only was he channeling Trump’s language in that letter, but he wrote the note in the span of “five minutes while a limo sent over by the campaign waited outside his office.”
He claims he was a bit rushed and it may have come out a little clumsy — the letter is addressed “To Whom My Concern”.
And then there’s this bold claim:
“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”
“His health is excellent, especially his mental health… His brain is turned on 24 hours a day,” Bornstein declared in the letter (below).
Asked how he could justify the hyperbole, Bornstein said, “I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead.”
