Trump’s Plan To Cut Advertising On Obamacare Just Got Shutdown By Ex-Medicare Chief

Andy Slavitt, former President Obama’s head of Medicare and Medicaid, decided to go against Donald Trump and the Republicans party on Friday and promoted the Affordable Care Act via Twitter.

“Trump decided not to inform people of ACA open enrollment in order to sink it,” A tweeted. “That’s not the only option. RT here if you will help spread.”

The tweet was seen quickly and it got a positive response as almost 70,000 people retweeted it in less than 24 hours.

Slavitt shared his appreciation for everyone who spread the message.

Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services announced that it would be slashing funds that would go to Obamacare enrollment outreach programs.

The fund that was $100 million last year would be cut to $10 million this year.

This is a way in which Trump is trying to defeat Obamacare, by not telling people the proper information they need in order to get healthcare.

This move brought forth a lot of criticism from the Democratic Party, including Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer who accused Trump of “deliberately sabotaging our healthcare system.”
