Roger Stone Twitter Account Just Got Suspended
Roger Stone’s Twitter account has been suspended for launching a vulgar tirade against CNN, singling out anchor Don Lemon and “The Lead” host Jake Tapper.
In the profanity-laced tirade, Stone called certain employees of the network “human excrement” and accused them of spreading lies, according to copies of the tweets posted online by Mediaite.
Stone, a long-time friend and former advisor to President Trump, lashed out at CNN after the network reported that a grand jury had approved the first charges in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and that arrests are expected Monday.
He also called for Lemon — who this week reported death threats made against him to the New York Police Department — to “be confronted, humiliated, mocked and punished.”
Stone also demanded that Tapper also be “very severely punished” and referred to Republican consultant and frequent CNN contributor Ann Navarro as a “dumbf—.”
He also suggested that there would be a “swift” “house cleaning” at the network once AT&T completes its planned merger with CNN parent company Time Warner.
It’s not the first time Stone’s had his Twitter account suspended. It was temporarily taken down in April after he made threatening remarks to Laura Keiter, the communications director for Media Matters, a progressive media watchdog group.
A spokesperson for Twitter declined to comment on individual accounts, but pointed to the social media site’s policy on abusive behavior, which prohibits “behavior that crosses the line into abuse, including behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another user’s voice.”
Many on social media responded by pointing out that Stone is simply scared of going to jail.
Roger knows there are no hair stylists in prison.
