President Donald Trump claimed on Saturday that he told Republican leadership to vote in favor of releasing special counsel Robert Mueller’s highly anticipated report and suggested the investigation is “a game”. He got hammered in response.
The House unanimously passed a resolution Thursday calling on Justice Department (DOJ) officials to release Mueller’s report about his investigation into Russian election interference in 2016.
But Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a close ally of Trump’s, blocked the resolution on Thursday, after it passed the House.
Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, objected to the resolution because he wants to appoint “a special counsel to investigate Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.”
“On the recent non-binding vote (420-0) in Congress about releasing the Mueller Report, I told leadership to let all Republicans vote for transparency,” he tweeted. “Makes us all look good and doesn’t matter. Play along with the game!”

Here are some of the responses:

So you told people to vote knowing quite well that Lindsey Graham will protect you. Sounds a lot like a conspiracy to me.

Are you suggesting the entire Mueller report be available to the public? Are you feeling OK?
— Jeffrey Guterman (@JeffreyGuterman) March 16, 2019
No, he knows his bff Lindsey will block it.

No President should sit in the White House after committing multiple serious crimes. It’s not a Witch Hunt to investigate whether Trump violated the law. Besides, so many witches have already pled guilty and are in jail. Trump just thinks he’s immune because he’s a dictator.

Donald, you mentioning "420" just triggered me since my cousin Johnny just died this morning from a marijuana overdose. Currently crying as I type this.

Then why is Lindsay graham blocking a vote in the senate? Are going to let them all vote for it?

You may THINK this is a game, but there's no "Get Out of Jail Free" card, and you have no Monopoly on reality.
DO NOT PASS GO.
DO NOT COLLECT $200.
GO DIRECTLY TO PRISON.

You are implying that the Congress votes based on your whims and instructions, @POTUS. Either you have a massive ego or a complete lack of understanding of how the government works. Sadly I suspect both. Neither is a good look.

No one believes anything you say.
You spent yesterday morning screaming, and I quote, “there should be no Mueller Report,” and, the best part, “THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO A PRESIDENT AGAIN!”
