‘Unhinged’ Trump Is Conducting A ‘Near-Systematic Purge’ And Firing Key National Security Officials
Donald Trump, who has been described as “unhinged” as of late, is not done firing key national security officials.
Shortly after Trump dismissed Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, CNN reported that the president ordered White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to fire United States Secret Service director Randolph “Tex” Alles.
According to an anonymous White House official, Trump is getting ready to fire multiple people working at important national security positions as part of a “near-systematic purge.”
“There is a near-systematic purge happening at the nation’s second-largest national security agency,” the official said.
According to CNN, the next officials that could be fired are United States Citizenship and Immigration Services director Francis Cissna and Office of the General Counsel’s John Mitnick, CNN reports.
Trump’s reasoning behind the firings is due to the large number of migrants who have been approaching the border in an effort to seek asylum in the United States.
As we know now, Trump doesn’t want anyone entering the country and has done anything in his power to stop immigration completely. As multiple members of his White House have said, he has become “unhinged.”
