On Wednesday, it was reported that close friends of the Trump family believed that Donald Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa Trump would be getting a divorce. On Thursday, those speculations were reported to be real when Vanessa filed for divorce.
According to a source that spoke with Page Six, “The problems have been there for a long time, the couple had hoped to stay together during the president’s time in office, but it is getting harder to resolve their issues. He’s never there.”
The source cited the attention the Trump family was getting as part of the problem. Vanessa was not a fond of the constant media coverage.
Page Six also the couple was struggling to resolve issues pertaining to his Trump Jr.’s “controversial tweets.”
Vanessa filed for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday. As Page Six reports, she “filed for an uncontested proceeding, meaning she’s not expected a legal battle over custody of the couple’s five children or their assets.”
