Walmart Joins In Fight Against NRA, Raises The Minimum Age To Purchase Firearms To 21

One of the biggest companies in the World has announced that it will be raising the minimum age to purchase firearms in its stores to 21.

“In light of recent events, we’ve taken an opportunity to review our policy on firearm sales,” Walmart said in a statement. “Going forward, we are raining the age restriction for purchase of firearms and ammunition to 21 years of age.”

Walmart reminded its costumers that it “ended sales of modern sporting rifles, including the AR-15” back in 2015. They added, “We also do not sell handguns, except in Alaska where we feel we should continue to offer them to our customers.”

“We take seriously our obligation to be a responsible seller of firearms,” Walmart said. The company also said that customers need to pass a background check with stricter requirements than the Federal law.
