CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Wednesday unloaded on Donald over the president’s latest depiction of migrants seeking asylum in the U.S.
Trump tweeted a propaganda-filled video comparing all migrants to a mass murderer who was sentenced to the death penalty.
“At a time when the president says he’s calling for unity, all he seems to be doing is pushing for fear and division,” Cuomo said. “I want you to watch and listen to what was sent from the president’s Twitter account to 55.5 million people.”
Trump tweeted a video of selected cuts of violence with the caption: “It is outrageous what the Democrats are doing to our Country. Vote Republican now! http://Vote.GOP”
The video was so vile that Cuomo only played half of it.
“That’s just a part of it. To be honest, I don’t want to play all of it and have people come to me and say ‘why are you playing these ugly and distorted images?’” he said.
“When did all migrants become the man Trump just tweeted about? A man who was given the death penalty for killing two sheriff’s deputies and wounding a third? This tweet is coming from the same president who earlier this week complained about people blaming his rhetoric for the rise of hate acts.”
