Late Night host Stephen Colbert mocked former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman on Thursday after she slammed President Trump on “Celebrity Big Brother”.
Colbert’s jab at Manigault Newman came after she told another contestant on the show, which premiered on Wednesday, that she was “haunted” by Trump’s tweets and that the U.S. would not be okay under Trump’s leadership.
“Oh really? Oh really, you were haunted? Out here it’s been the Trumpetyville horror,” the comedian said sarcastically.
“Also, Omarosa, pro tip. “When you’re on a reality show whispering doesn’t really work. Trump can still hear you,” he continued, referring to the clip of Omarosa from the show.
“I believe you. I had an inkling things weren’t going to be okay when Trump hired Omarosa to work in the White House,” he said.
Manigault Newman made the comments to Ross Matthews, her roommate on the show.
“I was haunted by tweets every day,” she said. “Like, what is he going to tweet next?”
“It’s going to not be OK, it’s not,” she said when asked if Americans should be worried about Trump. “It’s so bad.”

The White House fired back at Manigault Newman’s comments on Thursday in a press briefing, saying she no longer has contact with Trump.
“Omarosa was fired three times on ‘The Apprentice,’ and this was the fourth time we let her go,” deputy press secretary Raj Shah said.
“She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now.”
