Watch: GOP Lawmaker Responds To Russia Question With Ridiculous Rant About Kathy Griffin And Snoop Dogg

Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin made an appearance on MSNBC on Thursday where he spoke with host Katy Tur. The Congressman was questioned about a potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, but he avoided the question by pivoting to Kathy Griffin.

Tur pointed out how untrustworthy the Trump administration has been by lying about their interactions with Russian government officials. She then asked Zedlin why he was still willing to take the administration’s word about the scandal.

Zedlin dodged the question quickly and went on a rant about people who have said inappropriate things about President Donald Trump.

“What we’re hearing right now is the noise of the extreme,” he said. “People who, since the moment Donald Trump was elected, I mean there are people right now, who, uh, Madonna saying she wants to blow up the White House, Kathy Griffin holding up a decapitated head, Sean Penn saying he wants to assassinate the president, George Clooney saying he wants to punch him in the face, ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ killing the president, Snoop Dogg having a video shooting the president!”

Zedlin kept going with his rant by saying that people were still mad about last year’s election results.
