On Sunday, MSNBC’s Joy Ann Reid blasted Fox News’culture of violence against women and compared host Eric Bolling to disgraced politician Anthony Weiner after the conservative anchor was suspended from the embattled right-wing network for allegedly sending unsolicited photos of his genitals to three female colleagues.

Heldman, an associate professor of politics at Occidental University, revealed on Saturday that Bolling referred to her as “Dr. McHottie” on the air and contacted her repeatedly via phone and text with vulgar and sexually explicit messages.

Heldman’s revelation came through came an emotional Facebook post that quickly went viral.

“Fox was the Wild West of sexual harassment,” said Heldman of the culture back in 2008 at the network. “It was very clear to me that I would have been immediately off the air if I complained.”
