On Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence struggled to answer reporters who questioned him over his stay at a Trump resort while in Ireland.
Pence was asked to explain why he was using taxpayer money to enrich Trump while staying in Ireland.
“Democrats have criticized you today for staying at the Trump property in Doonbeg. They say you are enriching the president. What’s your response to that criticism?” Pence was asked.
Pence took a long pause before attempting to answer the question, except he didn’t quite answer it.
“It’s wonderful to be back in Ireland,” Pence responded.
There is no reason for Pence to stay at Trump’s golf course in Doonbeg, a city 180 miles west of Dublin, where his meetings will take place.
