Watch: Nicolle Wallace Laughs Hysterically As Conservative Guest Can’t Explain WH Official’s Attack On Trump
This weekend it was reported by The New York Times that White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney told a group of donors that if it wasn’t for Donald Trump’s attitude that the Republican Party would win the midterms.
On Monday, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace held a panel discussion over the topic and couldn’t help but laugh when a conservative pundit had a hard time explaining the GOP’s downfall.
In the Times’ report, it states that Mulvaney said Republican Senator Ted Cruz will have a hard time winning the race because he’s “unlikeable.”
“If Ted Cruz could be charming and Donald Trump could not have a screwed-up personality, everything would be fine,” Wallace said.
RealClearPolitics editor and Fox News analyst A.B. Stoddard tried to fend for Trump and claimed that what Mulvaney said was “actually not that bad.”
“He said if Ted Cruz wasn’t odious and Donald Trump wasn’t crazy we’d all be fine,” Wallace responded.
“He didn’t say ‘look, everyone hates Trump’ — he stepped around it,” Stoddard responded.
That’s when things took a hilarious turn when Wallace repeated Mulvaney’s words to the conservative guest to which she said “well…yes.”
