Watch: Trump Tells Room Full Of White Evangelicals That His Judges Will Favor Them
Donald Trump spoke in a room full of evangelical Christians on Wednesday night where he told them that they have been treated unfairly until this point and that he will change that.
According to Patheos, Trump assured the room that his new judges were going to start handing rulings that would favor white evangelicals.
“I’m thrilled to report that, tomorrow, the Senate will confirm the 100th federal judge to the court system. Under my administration, we’re getting to a level where we’re gonna be breaking records with respect to the judiciary, which means a lot to the people in this room because you were treated very poorly,” Trump said. “And now, with time, you’ll see what happens.”
Trump doesn’t seem to know that judges don’t work for a certain group of people, they are supposed to be impartial arbiters of the law.
But Trump still told the room that his appointees would make rulings that would make conservative evangelicals very happy.
“So I think it’s something that was long overdue and I think we’re gonna be treated very, very fairly,” he said. “Very important.”
