WH Officials Are Dreading Trump’s latest Tweet, Could Be The Cause Of A Whole New Controversy

Donald Trump is his own worst enemy, and his tweets are part of the growing controversy in his presidency. On Thursday Trump might have started a whole new controversy by tweeting out that he does not personally have tapes of his conversation with former FBI Direct James Comey.

Trump later raised the question that the Oval Office itself might be under surveillance.

Trump tweeted on Thursday:

“With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea whether there are “tapes” or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.”

One White House aide spoke to The Daily Beast via text, responding with a simple “FML,” which means “F*ck My Life.”

Trump has just made the life of his aides much more difficult. They can only do so much to make what the president is doing seem correct, or at least sane.

Trump’s tweets came right before Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke before the press.

She was asked if the president was insinuating that intelligence agencies are spying on the president.

Sanders replied saying, “I think those are questions you’d have to ask those law enforcement agencies. There’s public record that talks about surveillance, that talks about unmasking, we know those practices take place.”

One White House aide said, “I hope Sarah enjoyed herself today, because this isn’t going away.”
