WH Press Secretary Gets Caught In Another Blatant Lie And Immediately Gets Torched For It
Sarah Huckabee Sanders was constantly facing backlash for lying so many times on behalf of Donald Trump. But it appears that Trump’s new press secretary isn’t any better.
On Friday, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham took to Twitter to attack the Washington Post for its recent report about the brutal political mistakes Trump has made over the past two months — and she once again found herself getting caught in a blatant lie.
Grisham tweeted an article from the White House with the caption:
“They could have written about the first time in history a sitting United States president walked across the DMZ into North Korea. Not a chance”

There’s just one problem with Grisham’s tweet, it’s a lie!
The Post actually did write about Trump’s visit to the DMZ. The story, which was published on June 30th, featured the headline “Trump becomes first sitting president to set foot into North Korea” and explained to readers that the president “met Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea on Sunday and crossed briefly into North Korea, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to visit the isolated state.”
It didn’t take long for people to catch on to Grisham’s lie and they decided to call her out for it. Here are some of the best responses:

I mean, the headline of the WaPo article you accused them of not writing used THE EXACT SAME WORDS you used. pic.twitter.com/7ag7v5hXe0

Just so I'm clear, your the "press secretary" but instead of holding press conferences, you just complain about the press on twitter? Cool, definitely not a propaganda gig, you must sleep like a baby.

What an embarrassing press secretary. Why are we paying her salary?
I am requesting a refund.

Were you under the influence when the press actually did write about that event?

What did that accomplish? Kim is still testing missiles and producing new nuclear ones. No agreement reached.

More DUIs than press briefings.
