Weeks ago, Hillary Clinton announced that she’s committed to the general-election presidential debates. Donald Trump, however, has yet to officially sign on. “I’ll have to see who the moderators are,” the Republican nominee told Time Magazine last month. “Yeah, I would say that certain moderators would be unacceptable, absolutely.”
Well, the Commission on Presidential Debates just announced who the moderators will be for the four upcoming presidential and vice presidential events, ABC News reported.
According to the report, the first presidential debate will be moderated by NBC’s “Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt. The showdown will be hosted at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, Monday, Sept. 26. ABC’s Martha Raddatz and CNN’s Anderson Cooper will lead a town-hall-style forum at Washington University in St. Louis on Oct. 9.
Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace will handle the questioning at the final debate Oct. 19 at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
Trump wanted to “see who the moderators are.” Now that he has, we must ask: are these journalists acceptable? Will he debate?
