Women Across The U.S. Send Bills For Birth Control To Trump: Report
In response to President Trump’s decision to roll back the contraceptive mandate in ObamaCare, women across the nation are sending their birth control bills to the White House.
According to Yahoo News, the ‘Keep Birth Control Copay Free’ campaign created a website where women could send a bill to the White House, showing how much their birth control would cost if their employers chose to no longer cover it.
Women can submit their prescription contraception into the website and the tool sends the bill for the calculated cost to the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services, Yahoo News reports.
The bills also double as a registered comment against the move and will be submitted to the Federal Register.
The Trump administration announced earlier this month the rollback of an ObamaCare rule that required employers to cover birth control in their healthcare plans.
The move could impact millions of Americans who get birth control under the rule without having to make co-payments.
