‘You Don’t Know What Mueller Has’: Sarah Sanders Gets A Brutal Wake-Up Call After Denying Trump’s Russia Connection
Since the indictment of longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone, White House press secretary has been quick to deny that Donald Trump had nothing to do with Stone’s actions. But maybe her responses have been too quick.
On Tuesday, Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano noted that Sanders spontaneous responses trying to keep Trump as far away from the Russia investigation as possible may actually be a “dangerous” tactic
“Bob Mueller and his team have been very silent. They have spoken only in the courtroom, in their filings, and one-sentence P.R. statement that they issued two weeks ago,” Napolitano said. “In my view, it is dangerous to say this has nothing to do with the president and that Mueller has nothing on the president. Because you don’t know what Mueller has.”
“If Stone goes to trial, it will be a year until the hearings begin,” Napolitano said.
“The process of a prosecution like this is like putting together a 10,000-piece jigsaw puzzle,” he continued. “Only Mueller knows how many pieces are there. And what he still needs.”
